3½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp dry yeast
2 tbsp softened butter
1 egg
1 tsp salt (add if you like)
Method:
Mix warm milk + sugar + yeast → let sit 5 mins until foamy.
Add egg, butter, salt, and flour → stir until soft dough forms (no heavy kneading needed).
Knead lightly 2–3 mins on floured surface.
Divide into 8 balls, flatten slightly, place on lined baking sheet.
Cover & rise 20–30 mins.
Brush with egg/milk wash + sesame seeds.
Bake at 400–425°F for 12–15 mins until golden.
Soft, pillowy buns perfect for burgers!
2. Hot Dog Bun Dough (Long & soft – similar quick version)
Ingredients (makes 8–10 buns):
3¼–3½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm milk
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp dry yeast
2 tbsp softened butter
1 egg
½–1 tsp salt
Method:
Activate yeast in warm milk + sugar (5 mins).
Add butter, egg, salt, and flour → mix into soft dough.
Knead lightly 3 mins.
Divide into 8–10 pieces, roll into long logs (~5–6 inches).
Place close together on sheet.
Cover & rise 20–30 mins.
Brush with milk/egg. Bake at 375–400°F for 12–18 mins.
Slice and enjoy with hot dogs!
3. Garlic Bread Dough (Herby & quick)
Ingredients (makes 2–3 loaves):
3½ cups all-purpose flour
1¼ cups warm water
3 tbsp softened butter
1 tbsp dry yeast
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
Method:
Mix warm water + sugar + yeast → wait 5 mins.
Add butter, garlic powder, salt, and flour → stir into dough.
Knead lightly 3–4 mins.
Divide in half, shape into logs or flat loaves.
Place on sheet.
Rise covered 30–40 mins.
Brush with garlic butter (melted butter + garlic + parsley). Bake at 375°F for 20–25 mins.
Slice, add more butter, and serve hot!
4. Pizza Dough (Classic & no-fuss)
Ingredients (makes 2 medium pizzas):
3½ cups all-purpose flour
1¼ cups warm water
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp sugar
2¼ tsp dry yeast (1 packet)
1 tsp salt
Method (no-knead friendly):
Mix warm water + sugar + yeast → sit 5 mins.
Add oil, salt, and flour → stir until shaggy dough forms (no kneading!).
Cover & rest/rise 30–60 mins (or fridge overnight for better flavor).
Divide in 2, stretch/shape into rounds on floured surface.
Add sauce & toppings. Bake at 475°F (very hot!) for 10–15 mins on pizza stone or sheet.
Crispy, chewy, and delicious!
5. Calzone Dough (Similar to pizza – foldable)
Ingredients (makes 4–6 calzones):
3½ cups all-purpose flour
1¼ cups warm water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sugar
2¼ tsp dry yeast (1 packet)
2 tsp salt
Method:
Mix warm water + sugar + yeast (5 mins foamy).
Add oil, salt, and flour → mix into soft dough.
Rest/rise 30–60 mins.
Divide, roll into circles. Add fillings (sauce, cheese, etc.), fold & seal edges.
Brush with oil. Bake at 425–450°F for 15–20 mins until golden.
