2.Chicken Finger Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon coarse black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Cholula hot sauce, or favorite hot sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire

Instructions

  • Mix together mayonnaise and ketchup until fully combined.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, mixing half or so in at a time and adjusting to taste.
  • Serve with freshly fried chicken fingers.

Notes

  • I like mixing the mayonnaise and ketchup first so that you have your base and can add the other seasonings gradually to achieve the spice and flavor you want.
  • There is just a bit of spice to this recipe. Add more hot sauce for a spicier taste.
  • The Worcestershire sauce is strong – don’t add more than ½ teaspoon, or it will really overpower the other flavors.

3.Honey Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, yellow mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, sweet paprika, garlic powder, and salt.
  • Whisk all the ingredients together to fully incorporate and make a smooth honey mustard sauce.

Notes

  • Make sure you use sweet paprika (also labeled as just “paprika”). Smoked paprika will give your honey mustard a smoky flavor. You can try this substitution if you love smoked paprika and want a little twist to a traditional honey mustard sauce.
  • A mason jar is the perfect way to store this delicious homemade sauce in the fridge.
  • This sauce is the consistency of a thick yet pourable salad dressing. If you want a slightly thicker sauce for dipping, add a couple of additional tablespoons of mayonnaise. You will want to start with 2 tablespoons for taste and consistency before adding more to get the desired consistency.

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon sweet Hungarian paprika

Instructions

  • The longer the sauce sits before you use it, the better as it gives time for the flavors to meld.

  • 6 dashes hot sauce of your choice, more or less depending on your desired level of heat

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water for slurry. Set it aside.
  • In a medium bowl, add all the ingredients except for the slurry.
  • Whisk until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Using a rubber spatula, pour the mixture into a small saucepan.
  • Whisk often while simmering on low heat for 3 minutes (or just until it starts to bubble). Do not overheat or boil.

6.Big Mac Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons bottled French salad dressing
  • 1 ½ tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 ½ tablespoons white onion, finely minced
  • 1 ½ teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, bottled French salad dressing, sweet pickle relish, finely minced white onion, apple cider vinegar, granulated sugar, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  • Transfer the Big Mac sauce to a small lidded container (a half-pint size mason jar works great), or cover the mixing bowl with a piece of plastic wrap.
  • Refrigerate the Big Mac sauce for 2 hours or up to overnight. This allows the flavors from all the ingredients in the sauce to develop and marry. Be sure to stir the sauce before serving.

Notes

  • We recommend measuring carefully, as the balance of ingredients contributes to the making sure the sauce tastes just like the original.
  • Use a whisk to ensure the ingredients are thoroughly blended into a smooth consistency. This helps prevent any lumps and ensures the flavors meld perfectly.
  • For the best flavor, let the sauce sit overnight. This extended chilling time allows the flavors to marry more deeply, resulting in a richer and more familiar taste.
